Sweet-Potato Soup can be cooked in many ways. I wish to share with you some sweet potato soup recipes here. They are all different in style. Let's check out.
Sweet Potato Bisque Ingredients For ingredients, you shall prepare for 1/2 cup of butter, 1/2 cup of onions (peeled and chopped), 1 cup of celery (chopped), 2 large sweet potatoes (peeled and diced), 3 cups of chicken stock, 1 cup of milk, 1/2 teaspoon of cloves. Seasoning :salt and pepper to taste. The Making Prepare a saucepan, melt butter, saute onion and celery for 10 minutes until soft. Add in sweet potatoes and stock. Cover the lid and bring boil. Reduce heat and simmer for about 25 minutes until potatoes are very tender. Transfer the potatoes mixture into a blender. Puree smooth. Return to pan, add milk and cloves. Add seasoning to taste. Heat through and serve.
Rich Sweet Potato Soup Rich Soup! Ingredients Well, for ingredients, you shall prepare for 6 large potatoes, 2 containers of plain yogurt, 1 can of chicken broth, 1 teaspoon of nutmeg, 1 large white onion, 3 tablespoon of butter, 1 shot glass sherry. The Making Firstly, cook the sweet potatoes (by using oven or microwave), scoop out the sweet potatoes meat and place in a food processor. Puree until smooth, add in chicken broth and yogurt into the puree. Prepare a saucepan, melt butter and saute onion until soft. Add in sweet potatoes mixture, bring to boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes. Add sherry and nutmeg, simmer for another 15 minutes. Serve warm.
Chilled Sweet Potato & Leek Soup Cool~ Ingredients Well, for ingredients, you shall prepare for 3 pounds of sweet potatoes, 1 leek (sliced and washed), half stick butter, 1 onion (peeled and sliced), 1/4 cup of chives (chopped), 5 cup of chicken stock, 1 cup of cream, salt and pepper to taste. The Making Firstly, bake all sweet potatoes in a oven at 375 deg for 1 hour until soft. Let it cool for awhile and peel off it's skin. Prepare a saucepan, melt butter, saute onion and leek for 5 minutes. Add in chicken stock, salt and pepper. Transfer the soup to a food processor and add in peeled sweet potatoes. Puree together. Return the puree into the pan, add cream. Add seasoning to taste. Put into refrigerator for 2 hours until well chilled. Add chives before serve. We are done.
Chinese Sweet Potato Soup In Cantonese cuisine it is categorized as a tong sui or sweet soup, hence the Chinese name. The soup is usually thin, but potent in taste. The recipe is simple, consisting of boiling the sweet potato for a long time with rock candy.

Ingredients Well, for ingredients, you shall prepare for 2 large sweet potatoes (peeled and cut into chunks), 45 g of fresh ginger root (skinned and sliced), 3.5 cups of water, 1 pc of 60g slab raw brown sugar or rock sugar. The Making Firstly, prepare a soup pot, pour in water, bring to boil. Add ginger root and sweet potatoes; bring to simmer for 15 minutes. While boiling, add slab sugar or rock sugar and boil until the sugar dissolve completely. Serve hot. You can also add ice and serve cold, it will be delicious too :)
