Homemade Baked Potato Soup Recipe

A highly rated special flavor soups recipes. Cook it! You will definitely love it. You can also place all the ingredients into a crock pot and cook for about 10 hours over low heat. It will be great too. Good try! Yummy Yummy! :)

Ingredients

(4 servings)

3 bacon strips (diced), 1 small onion (peeled and chopped), 1 clove garlic (minced), 3 tbsp of all-purpose flour, 1 tsp salt, 1 tsp dried basil, 1/2 tsp pepper, 3 cups chicken broth, 2 large baked potatoes (peeled and cubed), 1 cup half-and-half cream, 1/2 tsp of hot pepper sauce, shredded cheddar cheese, minced fresh parsley

The Making

Prepare a saucepan, place in bacon and cook until crisp. Drain, reserving 1 tablespoon drippings. Set bacon aside.

Saute onion and garlic in the drippings until soft. Add in flour, salt, basil and pepper; mix and stir well. Slowly pour in broth. Bring to boil for about 2 minutes. Stir constantly. Add in potatoes, cream and hot pepper sauce; heat through gently but do not boil. Garnish with bacon, cheese and parsley before serve. Enjoy!


Easy Cream of Mushroom Soups Recipes

Excellent! Better than any mushroom soup that I had in restaurants. I have been cook this soup for many times. It so easy to make. Good try ! :)

Ingredients

(6 servings)

Well, for ingredients, you shall prepare for 5 cups of sliced fresh mushrooms, 1.5 cups chicken broth, 1/2 cup of peeled and chopped onion, 1/8 teaspoon dried thyme, 3 tbsp of butter, 3 tbsp of all-purpose flour, 1/4 tsp of salt, 1/4 tsp of ground black pepper, 1 cup half-and-half, 1 tbsp of sherry

The Making

Prepare a saucepan, place in and cook mushrooms in the broth with onion and thyme for about 15 minutes until tender . Transfer to a blender or food processor, puree until smooth. Leaving some chunks of vegetable in it. Set aside.

In a saucepan, melt butter over medium low heat, whisk in the flour until smooth. Add in salt, pepper, half and half and vegetable puree. Stirring constantly, bring soup to boil and cook until thickened. Adjust sherry and seasonings to taste. Serve hot.

This is a quick, simple to make soup that is perfect for dinner on a chilly night. It freezes well, and with some whole-wheat bread and a piece of fruit, makes a perfect lunch.

Ingredients

(8 servings)

Well, you shall prepare for 4 tablespoons of olive oil, 2 leeks (sliced), 1 large onion (peeled and diced), 3 cloves garlic (peeled and chopped), 2 carrots (peeled and diced), 2 stalk of celery (sliced), 2 tablespoons of tomato paste, 1 can of diced tomatoes (14 ounces), 2 cans mixed beans (12 ounces), rinsed and drained well, or about 1 cup dried beans (precooked), 1 bay leaf, 1 tablespoon of dried oregano, 1 tablespoon of dried basil, salt and pepper to taste, 3-1/2 cups vegetable stock, 1 cup your preferred small pasta, 1/4 cup sun-dried tomatoes (drained & julienned)

The Making

Prepare a pot, heat olive oil, saute garlic and leeks until soft. Add in carrot, tomato paste and celery. Stir well and let vegetables brown slightly. Do not burn.

Add in diced tomatoes, beans, oregano, basil, basil, stock, salt and pepper. Bring to boil. Reduce heat and simmer for about half an hour.

Add in paste and sun - dried tomatoes. Simmer for another 15 minutes. Add seasoning to taste. Discard bay leaves. Garnish with grated parmesan cheese if desired. Serve with crusty whole-wheat or multi-grain bread.

If you don't like the soup to be too thick, you can thin the soup by adding a cup of water.
