Looking for She-Crab Soup Recipe? Here's to tell you how to cook a rich & creamy She Crab Soup.The soup is a regional specialty from the South Carolina Low country. It is considered to be the signature dish of Charleston, South Carolina, and is commonly featured on the menus of many of the city's restaurants. Ingredients (2 servings)You need to prepare for 1/4 cup of butter, 3 tablespoons of minced onion, 1/4 cup of all-purpose flour, 4 cups of half & half, 1/2 teaspoon of salt, 1/2 teaspoon of ground pepper, 2 teaspoons of Worcestershire sauce, 1/4 teaspoon of paprika, 1 dash of old bay seasoning, 1 pound of lump crab meat, 2 hard-cooked eggs (finely chopped), 3 tablespoons of crab roe (optional item), sherry. For garnish (Optional) : chopped hard-coked egg, fresh parsley sprigs & fresh ground pepper. The Making Prepare a Dutch oven, melt butter over low heat, add onion and cook for 5 minutes over medium heat until soft. Stir constantly. Whisk in flour until mixture is smooth. Cook for 1 minute, whisk constantly. Slowly add in half & half, cook over medium heat. Whisk constantly until mixture is thickened. Stir in salt, ground pepper, Worcestershire sauce, paprika, old bay seasoning, crab meat. Add crab roe if desired. Add sherry to taste. Optional items - Garnish with ground pepper, hard-cooked chopped eggs & parsley before serve.
