Chinese Hot and Sour Soup Recipe

This Hot & Sour Soup Recipe has lots of different flavors going on, and is a very special soup to serve your guests. The spicy hot comes from the white pepper, and the sour comes from the vinegar.Ingredients Well, your shall prepare for 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil, 1 medium onions (peeled and sliced), 3 carrots (peeled and sliced thinly), 3 cloves of garlic (minced), 1 tablespoon of fresh ginger (minced), 4 cup of chicken broth, 1 cup of water, 2 tablespoons of soy sauce, 6 ounces of shiitake mushrooms, 1/3 cup of water chestnut, 1/2 pound of snow peas (sliced), 1/4 cup of rice wine vinegar, 2 tablespoons of sesame oil, a dash of chili oil. The Making Firstly, prepare a saucepan, heat vegetable oil and saute onion, carrot for about 3 minutes until onions are soft. Stirring while cooking. Add in garlic and ginger and cook for another 1 minute. Pour in water, chicken broth and soy sauce and boil for about 2 minutes over high heat. Add in water chestnuts & mushrooms, boil for another 1 minutes. Remove the pan from heat, add in peas and bean sprouts. Cover the lid and let it rest for 2 minutes. Now, you can add in rice wine vinegar, sesame oil and chili oil. Gently heat through for 1 minute and serve hot. Yummy!
