Cream of Asparagus Soup Recipe

Want to have something special but simple making? Try out this Cream of Asparagus-Soup Recipe! You will not regret to discover it. Rich and Creamy. Ingredients 1 package of frozen cut asparagus, 1/8 cup of carrot (peeled and chopped - optional), 1/4 cup of onion (peeled and chopped), 1 can of chicken broth (14.5 oz), 2 tbsp of butter, 2 tbsp of flour, 1/4 tsp of celery salt, 1 1/2 cup of milk, 1/2 cup of sour cream, 1/2 tsp of freshly grated lemon zest, juice from 1/2 lemon. The Making Prepare a saucepan, add in 3/4 cup of chicken broth, asparagus, onion and carrot, cook for 5 minutes. Transfer this mixture into a blender. Puree until smooth. In the same pan, melt butter, add in flour and celery salt. Slowly add in remaining broth. Cook over medium heat until thickened. Stir constantly. Add in asparagus puree and milk. Heat through. Add sour cream, zest and juice. Just heat it, don't boil.
