Chicken-soup has acquired the reputation of a folk remedy for colds and flus, and in many countries including the United States is considered a classic comfort food. Here, i wish to share with you the healthy and delicious chicken-soup recipe. It's tasty. Let's cook this soup by today and share with your love one :)
Ingredients(6 servings)
You need to prepare 1 whole chicken, 1 gallon water which is able to cover the whole chicken, 1 onion (cut in quarters), 3 garlic cloves, 1 inches of ginger root shredded, 2 tsp salt, 1 pound of new potatoes (peeled and cut in bite size piece), 4 carrots (peeled and cut in bite size piece), 2 stalks celery and cut in bite size piece, 1 can of baby corn
The Making
1). Put the chicken, water, onion, garlic, ginger, and salt in a large soup pot for boiling. (Optional : Clay pot can be utilized, but it may take longer time). Simmer it for about 1/2 - 1 hour. If necessary, skimming off oil and fat. Testing the chicken with fork /or chopstick to check it's tenderness and fully cooked. Remove the chicken and shred it, remove away the bones, fat, skin, and gristle. Strain chicken broth. Add veggies and chicken to chicken broth, after that, boil it, reduce to simmer for about half an hour or until potatoes are tender. Serve hot.
